Most lawn trouble in Sydney starts with mowing too low in the heat. Leaving the grass a little longer through summer shades the soil, holds moisture and crowds out weeds, so the lawn copes when the weather turns.
Feeding and aeration follow the growing season rather than a fixed date. A qualified horticulturist can also tell a dry patch from a disease or a grub problem, so the fix matches the cause.

Questions about lawn care and maintenance
How often should my lawn be mowed?
Through the warm months most lawns need a cut every week or two. Growth slows right down in winter, so visits drop back. We set the rhythm at the assessment and adjust it as the seasons turn.
Why is my lawn brown in summer when I water it?
Usually it has been cut too short, watered little and often rather than deeply, or the soil has compacted so water runs off. Sometimes it is a pest or a disease. We check which before recommending anything.
Can you fix bare or patchy areas?
Yes. Worn and patchy areas are repaired as part of lawn care, and we tell you what caused them so they do not come back.
Do you take the clippings away?
Yes. Paths and driveways are cleared and the clippings leave with us.
