What makes a North Shore garden different
The North Shore has some of Sydney’s most established gardens, and they come with conditions of their own. Care that knows them looks after the garden better.
Big trees and deep shade
Tall canopy trees are part of the character here, and many are protected. They shade lawns and beds, compete for water, and need planting underneath that can cope.
Sandstone and clay
Gardens on the lower North Shore often sit on sandstone, with thin soil that drains fast. Up on the ridge toward Hornsby the soil turns to heavier clay, which holds water in winter and cracks in summer.
Heritage streets
Many North Shore streets sit in heritage conservation areas, where front gardens, hedges and street trees are part of the character being protected.
Bushland edges
Suburbs that back onto bushland, such as St Ives, Wahroonga and Hornsby, include bushfire prone land. Keeping gutters, leaf litter and overgrowth near the house under control matters here.

Do I need council approval to prune or remove a tree on the North Shore?
Often, yes. North Shore councils protect established trees, and the rules differ from one council to the next. Our arborists check for your tree and handle the application where one is needed.
Can you look after a garden in a heritage conservation area?
Yes. We look after the garden in keeping with its character, and we talk to you before anything that would change it, such as taking out a hedge or a mature shrub.
Do I get the same team every visit?
Systems are in place for full transparency so the business can maintain the same consistency with every team. Business owners are involved every day, every step of the way.
How does the pricing work?
We walk the garden, build a schedule around what it actually needs, then agree one price before anything starts. That figure does not move.
Do I have to commit to regular visits?
No. Most clients end up on a regular schedule because it is easier, but one-off work is fine too, whether that is a pre-sale clean up, a hedge reshape or a tree removal.
